মোর প্রিয়া হবে এসো রানী

মোর প্রিয়া 	হবে এসো রানী দেব খোঁপায় তারার ফুল
	কর্ণে দোলাব তৃতীয়া তিথির চৈতী চাঁদের দুল।।
		কণ্ঠে তোমার পরাবো বালিকা
		হংস –সারির দুলানো মালিকা
	বিজলী জরীণ ফিতায় বাঁধিব মেঘ রঙ এলো চুল।।
	জোছনার সাথে চন্দন দিয়ে মাখাব তোমার গায়
	রামধনু হতে লাল রঙ ছানি’ আলতা পরাবো পায়।
		আমার গানের সাত সুর দিয়া
		তোমার বাসর রচিব প্রিয়া।
	তোমারে ঘিরিয়া গাহিবে আমার কবিতার বুলবুল।।

My dear, be my beloved and I shall adorn your tresses with starlit blossoms
I shall adorn you with earrings made from the crescent moon of spring

I shall garland you with swan-like blooms,
And style your monsoon cloud like tresses
With the filigree of lighting.

I shall smear, on your self, a blend of moonlight and sandal paste
I shall sieve crimson from the rainbow to dye your feet

The notes of my music shall embellish your nuptial chamber
The nightingale (bulbul) of my poetry shall sing for you, my love
